Our fertile hatching eggs are collected multiple times a day. We do not wash our eggs. As the egg is layed, it is naturally coated in a fill called the bloom. This protects the eggs before the hen is able to sit and hatch them, and also as she is hatching them. We sort through the eggs to make sure that we pick the best eggs for hatching. We pick out the best shaped eggs, and try to keep them as clean as possible, but some of them may be a little dirty. It is up to you to wash them or not before you put them in your incubator. We do not guarentee hatchability do to many variables beyond our control, however, if you have less than 10% fertility, we will give you replacement eggs/a discount on new order of eggs IF WE HAVE THEM AVAILABLE (25% of origional order and all eggs must be returned to us, or 25% off new order). We must be notified within 7 days of incubation. We do not give new eggs for failed incubation instructions. Average fertility for hatching eggs once they leave any farm is approximately 50%. Some may recieve better hatches, and some may recieve poorer hatches due to variables beyond our control (usually due to incubator fault, not using proper handling, not disinfecting and keeping incubator clean before and during hatch, not checking humidity, children tampering with incubator/eggs, etc.).
