Rooster Trade in Program
In 2014, we decided to try a rooster trade in program, as many of our customers wanted to purchase from us, but were worried about the roosters/male poultry (as most of our breeds are sold as straigh run). It was very successful, and has been since then!
Our rooster trade in allows our customers to bring back any male poultry that they have purchased from us (must be purchased from us, and brought back the year of purchase (or within 6 months of purchase, which ever is greater). In return, we will give you a voucher worth 50% of the purchase price.
Ex. if you purchased a Lavender Orpington for $12, and it turned out to be a male, you can bring it back and we will give you a $6 voucher.
This voucher can then be used to purchase ANY poultry we have available for sale at the time. Vouchers expire the year they are issued, however they can be used as down payments/deposits for an order of the next year, if 20% or less of the total price.
What do you do with the males?
Unfortunatly, we do not have the resources to keep all of the males that are brought back to us. 50% or more will be butchered. We give away or sell the rest to local families for meat, pets, or breeders. If you are local, and interested in entering our program to recieve these males, please email us!
